Slobodan Milosevic did not even manage to get used to his forced trip to the Hague, with questions already being raised when he will get to see two new inmates in his cell block, namely Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic who are energetically sought after by the Hague Tribunal. Before the October revolution Ratko Mladic lived openly in Belgrade and was a frequent spectator at soccer matches, but suddenly disappeared prior to Karla del Ponte's visit to Yugoslavia. Even though FRY and RS (Republika Srpska) officials claim that they "have no information" regarding his residency in either of these two states, it is believed that Mladic still enjoys the protection of the Yugoslav Army and that he most frequently resides in the underground military complex in Han Pijesak in the Romanija mountains of Republika Srpska. In any case, Mladic remained loyal to the institution which he joined in his fourteenth year as a cadet at the military academy, so that it is only normal that the army is returning this loyalty.
