The "Society for the Truth About the Anti-fascist Peoples' Liberation Struggle (Communist) in Yugoslavia from 1941 to 1945" was founded last Tuesday in a full hall in the "Josip Broz Tito" Memorial Center in Belgrade. It was announced that the society will concern itself with the organized and factually substantiated defense of historical truths about the Peoples' Liberation Struggle and with the struggle against attempts to rehabilitate movements and personalities whose collaboration with the occupying forces is proven and denounced as treason. Milos Sumonja, a retired general, presided over the event. It seems that the victors from that war have decided to become active because the truth which had ruled for fifty years did not prove to be strong enough to defend itself.
