Belgrade - The Yugoslav federal government suspends agreements on the return of "asylum-seekers" residing illegally in EU countries. Municipal courts in Kosovo and Serbia press charges against 715 individuals accused of terrorist acts, the Serbian Justice Minister Dragoljub Jankovic told Tanjug.
Podgorica - The Montenegrin government says it has "no further resources" for the accommodation of refugees and displaced persons from Kosovo. The republican press office said that Montenegro had already accommodated 72,350 refugees and displaced persons, who account for 11.6 of the republic's population.

Belgrade - The number of passengers using the Belgrade airport will decrease by 30 or even 40 percent due to the EU ban on JAT flights, says Ljubomir Acimovic, the airport's managing director.

Saturday, September 12
Pristina - Idriz Ajeti, president of the self-declared ethnic Albanian parliament in Kosovo, told the weekly Zeri, published in Albanian, that his compatriots were about to form a coalition government.
The Kosovo human rights committee says that Serb forces have "murdered, massacred and executed at least 1,221 ethnic Albanians since January 14".

Venice - Emir Kusturica, a Yugoslav film director, won the Silver Lion award at the Venice film festival for his film "Black Cat, White Cat". Goran Paskaljevic's "Barrel of Gunpowder" won the FIPRESCI best movie award.

Monday, September 14
Belgrade - Dragan Tomic says that the Serbian government has succeeded in its quest to stabilize the situation in Kosovo.
The daily Nasa Borba is printed again. The new editor-in-chief is Mihal Ramac.
The federal authorities decided to encrypt the Yugoslav flag instead of the five-star on number-plates for vehicles.

Tuesday, September 15
Zagreb - Yugoslav and Croatian experts held talks on determining the border between the two countries and the disputed Prevlaka area.

Wednesday, September 16
Brussels - Great Britain and France announced they would forward a resolution envisioning a military intervention in case Milosevic rejects Christopher Hill's proposition, NATO headquarters said.
