An Easy Problem to Solve

Montenegrin President Momir Bulatovic was more than explicit in his speech in the Montenegrin Parliament, when he said that it is unrealistic to expect a successful survival of the sanctions, especially stressing that everything should be done so that the present embargo could be lifted, because "if the second phase of sanctions is activated, meaning war and calamity, we stand no chance at all." Hence Mr. Bulatovic believes that radical demands addressed to the ruling party by certain opposition parties are warranted.

"Any change in politics or in its protagonists, which is in accordance to the people's will and in the interest of people, their lives and prospects for future development, must not be conditioned by anything," said Mr. Bulatovic. "Therefore, if a change in the Montenegrin leadership removes economic sanctions and a possible military intervention, the problem is easily solved."
