Questions without Answers

1. How many people does the Serbian Ministry of the Interior employ? How many of them are police officers? How many are uniformed?

2. How large is the available effective of the police reserve in Serbia?

3. How large is the part of the budget which covers the expenditures of the police (percentage-wise)?

4. How much does the education and employment of one policeman cost? How much do an ordinary policeman and an inspector at the Ministry of the Interior earn (the latest data)?

5. How much does it cost to provide one policeman with the necessary equipment, arms and the means of communication? More precisely, what is the cost of each part of the normal gear (uniform, belt, nightstick, handgun with a holster, long guns, ammunition, radio-station, etc.), and of the special equipment (helmet, protective vest, shield, riot-stick, gas-mask, chemical agents, hand grenade, 38mm rifle, CS cartridge, rubber bullet cartridge, etc...)?

6. To what extent does a need for maintaining special riot squads and equipping them burden the budget of the Ministry of the Interior?
