Republic Square, March 9, 1991:
Demonstrations with 100,000 people taking part. The police used force to break them up. Two died: Branivoje Milanovic (18) and policeman Nedeljko Kosovic. There were 203 injured persons, 158 people were arrested and beaten in jail (108 were taken to the jail in Padinska Skela).

The political balance in the Serbian parliament has been changed after the New Democracy Party formed its own independent parliamentary group.

First and foremost, one Jastreb plane used to cost, while still produced and sold on the markets, about 2.5 million dollars; its current value is immeasurable since it is no longer produced, it has no substitute and it will be a long time before the Serbs produce a plane. To a 10-million-dollar expense should be added three pilots, who are humans, and cost of their training. Who dared risk so much and why?

The question is whether the Croat-Muslim federation in Bosnia-Herzegovina can be successful without the consent of the Bosnian Serbs who view the realisation of the signed agreement with considerable skepticism
