Last week's diplomatic package was opened publically, probably in the wish to give importance to the first large promotion of (mainly internationally unrecognized) FR Yugoslavia's diplomatic corps. Premier Radoje Kontic read out the 11 names of the newly appointed heads of diplomatic missions. That caused much controversy despite the fact that there were no big surprises in the list.

On Sunday, June 12, soldier N.N. killed Radisa Adamovic (38) from Golubac. Adamovic was shot while in his boat, close to his house. His wife saw the murder as did his eightyearold daughter who was watching from a window. The deceased also had a threemonthold son

In the evening on Monday, June 13, there was a severe thunderstorm in Belgrade. According to the testimonies of the citizens of Lisicji potok and Miljakovac, the area of the military depot was stuck by thunder at 11.30 p.m. The blast was so strong that all car-alarms in the area were set off. The soldier who was on sentry duty said later that he had thrown himself on the ground, seeing the first flames and hearing the first explosion within seconds. Accompanied by another sentry, he dashed to wake up the officer on duty, who ordered that the object be immediately evacuated.
