The Delegation

According to VREME's sources in Zagreb, Veljko Knezevic will be the head of Yugoslavia's eightmember delegation in Croatia. Knezevic, an ethnic Serb from Croatia, is more familiar with Zagreb and Croatia, than to Belgrade. He is a former general manager of Radio Television Zagreb who was sacked when the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) came to power.

How To Recognize A Stupid Person?

On Wednesday, February 9, the following editorial appeared in the semiofficial daily ``Vecernje Novosti'': ``How to recognize a stupid person? It is simple. Only a stupid person can believe: (1) that the weekly VREME is a Serbian magazine, and that it is just a coincidence that it is not called `Il Tempo' or `Jerusalem Life'. (2) That this weekly which presents itself under false pretenses has discovered, in the past few days, all on its own, the Yugoslav army's invasion of Bosnia. (3) That the New York Times, a Jewish-run newspaper, carried this sensational information as an urgent item. (4) That the CIA, publicly intimidated by this discovery sent two spy planes to ``gather information'' over Italy, and then moved them over to Albania. (5) That the Serbian Government has not been able for years, because of socalled democratic and antiwar reasons, to catch a single spy in the sky or on the ground. The ingredients for a spy story are very simple: take all anti-Serbian Jewish-Masonic and Communist-Liberal names and make a transmitter out of them with a Serbian label.''
