The latest and greatest massacre of unarmed civilians in Sarajevo has resulted in the usual, but significantly changed consequences. Threats of a military intervention look more serious and are the result of public outrage; the guilty party is being sought with the usual imaginativeness, but with a lot more energy

Dzakula has been kidnapped. Everybody stands to gain: the Serbian political leadership, its war lobby, the leaders in Knin, even the hawks urging a Greater Croatia. The fear of talking openly of the Serbs' real interests in Croatia, has passed the critical mass.

Dafina Milanovic, the owner of the ``Dafiment bank'' which collapsed last year along with life savings of hundreds of thousands of people, testified at a hearing before the Inquiry Committee of the Yugoslav Parliament on February 10. However, it seems that new details about the Dafiment Bank scandal will be disclosed only after the records from the hearing have been thoroughly analyzed.

Strahinja Kastratovic, an MP, inquired about famous Izrael Kelman, the Israeli cituzen and the cofounder of the bank. ``Did this gentleman pay for the founding of the bank, reap profit and take any money out of the country to Israel?'' Kastratovic asked.

According to VREME's sources in Zagreb, Veljko Knezevic will be the head of Yugoslavia's eightmember delegation in Croatia. Knezevic, an ethnic Serb from Croatia, is more familiar with Zagreb and Croatia, than to Belgrade. He is a former general manager of Radio Television Zagreb who was sacked when the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) came to power.
