Merry-Go-Round

MILOS BOJOVIC, MP of the Socialist Party of Serbia was a guest on Radio Belgrade. He was talking about the war: "I don't know why are you asking me about the war? You no doubt know that Serbia is not in war. Serbia is not in war! Neither is Krajina in war. It is the Croatian ustashi regime which is in war, which, as you have seen, has raised its ugly head again performing in its notorious cunning and perfidious way the genocide of the Serbian population. They simply want to exterminate the Serbs. And another thing: this is not a war any more, since the interests of Germany, Austria and Italy are at stake here as well. This has always been the fate of small nations: give them a few dollars and do what you like. But Serbs are different. They can't either be bought out or bribed, since they are, without exception, defending their state and their freedom. That is our historical and genetic heritage. But the pieces of jigsaw have now fallen into place. There are three concessions(!) in Yugoslavia: the Moslem, the Catholic and the Orthodox which is said to be the God's favourite and it seems to me that everything is being done to enslave Serbs living throughout Yugoslavia, to confine them into a mouse hole, so that one day they would be galley slaves on foreign seas. That will not happen!

NAJDAN MILOJKOVIC, nicknamed "Superman" from Nis, recently informed the public that he is about to form the Yugoslav- Serbian-contemporary- humanitarian-political party called "Superman". Mr. Milojkovic, who considers himself to be "a professional politician", has appealed to "all the progressive-minded citizens, prominent intellectuals, their followers, clients, youth". Membership is free. No gifts are accepted. The author, the founder, the organizer and the president of "S" party will take care of the costs. The party manifesto includes: the super-universal programme, the programme for international emancipated cultivation, the option of withdrawing the incomplete Yugoslavia from Europe, the abolishment of war hierarchy ...

MOMIR BULATOVIC, gave an interesting thought at the promotion of his book: "It would have been much better for us had Yeltzin said that all Russians should live in one country".

ZORAN KALEZIC, a folk singer says of the surge of the Serbian patriotic singers: "We are neither braver, nor more humane, nor bigger patriots than others. It is just that the Orthodox singers have given far too little until now and it is time for them to wake up. You don't mean that Milosevic, Seselj and Arkan should sing. They should do their business and let us do ours.

The Pick of the Week

"It won't be the first time we'll feed on nettles",

Radovan Karadzic, the president of the Socialist Democratic Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina at the press conference in Sarajevo.
