Like it or not, Europe will enter 1992 united. Yugoslavia, however, won't. With the historic simplification it would be easy to say that a united Europe represents the first real victory of those barbarians who had, fifteen centuries ago, destroyed the Roman Empire with the sole ambition to later reconstruct it.

The fact that the Central Bank experts made minor changes of the 100, 500 and 1000 dinar notes which are now green, yellow and blue respectively is joined by a new 5000 note, which represents an elegant solution

The Montenegrin Parliament opted for a middle solution with regards to the European Declaration, which provides equal opportunities concerning several aspects.

It seems that not only the ones who considered Yugoslavia to be their one and only homeland are sore about its disintegration and destruction: the mail columns of the world's most prominent newspapers are almost daily full of appeals of the people who, one way or another, were emotionally attached to former Yugoslavia and who are now calling upon the international public to take steps in order to stop the collective bilateral suicide of Serbs and Croats.
