After last weeks' exciting events, Banjaluka has drifted this week into the waters of the tiresome press conferences of the president Biljana Plavsic, unusual to all those who remember her from the pre-war Pale

"Even prior to that, we had noticed that someone was observing the Banski Dvor entrance. We didn't immediately react for a number of reasons; however the President was due to arrive in some twenty minutes or so and we noticed that something was going on there. We didn't have time to think whether we should take action or not. We had to do something, as that could have been a machine gun."

It took the SPS three months to arise from the state it was in after the election theft and three months of civilian protest; it has consolidated its lines, destabilized it's main opponents and started constructing a strategy of moving the center of power to the federal top. It has made several moves for that purpose, on the state and party level, with a big castling of its cadre.

The extraordinary session of both councils of the parliament of the FR of Yugoslavia during which the candidate for the president of Yugoslavia is to be nominated is scheduled for Tuesday, July 15. On that list, one thing is certain, that the dominant person shall be the one whose name we needn't mention. The political tension which has been going on for the last four months on that account is approaching a seeming conclusion, yet not catharsis as well
