A delegation of the Democratic Party (DS) spent the night of the NATO ultimatum in Pale. This gave rise to all kinds of comments: they were praised but also criticized for scoring political points in "a cheap way.'' Zoran Djindjic, the President of the Democratic Party, confirmed in his interview with VREME that the developments in Bosnia influenced him to decide to go to Pale:

The opposition will try to improve things in RadioTelevision Serbia after this institution has spent the last three years under the Serbian Government's thumb. The proposals of the draft Law on RadioTelevision which were drawn up independently by DEPOS (Democratic Movement of Serbia) and the Serbian Radical Party (SRS), concern RTS competencies from the appointment of the General Director to program policy, and the fact that they should once more become the responsibility of the Serbian Assembly.
